Seriously, though, if you're a fan of the Witcher books and the newer netflix show right now, the game is worth trying. It's well done as far as open world games go. The DLC has been very enjoyable. The story is good, though there are a number of differences from the books/show. It helps to have read the books or played W1/W2 for context here and there but it's not actually necessary to enjoy all this game has to offer.
