Was a great game while it lasted. Pulling a bait and switch on your customers is not something we should tolerate.

EDIT: Sony has walked back their decision due to the outpouring of feedback from the community. Good job, everyone. Fix those reviews!

Early Access Review
I've got multiple points of contention with this game, and these are why I'm ultimately voting No. If Wildcard eventually fixes these, then I'll change my review.

1. "ARK is reimagined from the ground-up into the next-generation of video game technology with Unreal Engine 5!" This is not a re-imagining at all. It's cut and paste, with slightly improved graphics both in the UI and game. There are very few differences between this remake and Survival Evolved - definitely not enough to warrant a $45.00 price tag.

2. Server hosting - it looks like Wildcard (or whoever made this decision) decided to give Nitrado a 7 year contract of being the only ones allowed to host paid servers. Exclusivity contracts are never good for the gamers.

Path of Exile is the game I've enjoyed the most consistently for the most amount of time. It's always fun to hop in and play for any amount of time.

Keeping it fresh, their quarterly (usually) content releases keep the game fresh and interesting.

The latest of these, Betrayal, comes with a set of QOL improvements that continues to prove GGG is listening to its community better than most other developers on the market.

With hundreds of hours on the PS4 version, and hundreds more to come on the PC version, this game definitely gets my recommendation. It's tons of fun, solo or in a group, and has tons of content available.

That being said, I am very disappointed with the PC version's server issues currently plaguing the ability to play with a group. My group spends as much time trying to get into a quest together as we do actually fighting monsters, due to all the disconnects and invisible lobbies. And sometimes even once we get into a quest, we'll disconnect halfway through, making us start over.

I very much hope that they resolve the server issues so that we can play together without issue.
