Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis is a breath of fresh air for the game. I'm someone that beat PSU when it came out way back, then jumped to PSO2 when it first released in Japan. (I had way too many hours invested into the game lol). PSO2 was great for many years, but it just got boring at some point and I had to take a break. Now I'm back and playing New Genesis. So first, yes, the game needs work to feel more complete but it feels like a good start. The spells are lacking compared to PSO2 or even PSU, but hopefully that changes sooner rather than later. The world feels amazing. Its open, and you don't have to que up to get to places anymore. Sure, at times, it feels like you're the only one in the world but that's not always a bad thing. Another note: the running and jumping/gliding mechanics that they have now is awesome! Sometimes you just feel like you're flying.
