I've spent way more time in this game in single sittings than many others. The joy I get from knocking down whole structures and watching the silly physics explode the pieces out is immense.

They have a lot of neat ways to interact with the ship but I wish there were more hazards and "puzzles" built into the ships that are available in the base game. I completed about 60% of them, skipping most of the easier and less profitable ones, because the game just isn't challenging.

I wish there was more of a challenge like in Hardspace: Shipbreaker but without the time limit. I would much rather play this game than that one where it's so overly tense that it loses what makes this game special to me. The cool and calm factor of doing a job and getting paid while having fun with game physics lol.

This game is a lot of fun and I can't wait to dive into the DLCs with my Fiance in multiplayer when we've completed all the ships in the base game!

A game made to be a game! It's like I just bought a disk at EBGames for my PS2. Games that were made to show off how much fun you could have and didn't know that monetization would improve shareholder value.

Bought deluxe just because I want to support this type of product. Although it I still consider it worthwhile for the sidegrade (not upgrade) versions of the weapons that were already available. They're not better, most are worse, but they DO add to my enjoyment and experimentation.

The grind is real. The beginning is slow and frustrating. This is not a modern game.

Put all your 'gaming' associations to this title aside and you'll see a great cinematic experience that you're a part of. Clever dialogue that's meant to be obtuse to paint a picture of what is happening at scale while you participate in the battles around the world. If they showed things in a cutscene or used more 'literary' dialogue then the imagination wouldn't be able to take it as far as it can with wonder and bewilderment.

Be the soldier that just wants to protect their home. Be the soldier at the center of the world wide conflict. Practice with your underwhelming handling and firearms until you reach a point where entire colonies of aliens are evicerated by your gaze and a click. It'll take time but it's either that or the planet.

Early Access Review
I really didn't think I'd enjoy this due to early access and games that claim to be something innovative. However I did want to give these devs a shot as I always love games in space and physics should be incorperated into far more games (imo of course).

Met with a bunch of debt, a lot of thinking out the gate, having to actually look for things and read (used to MMOs and games that don't have words/descriptions that actually mean anything when playing them) it was a breath of fresh air. The gameplay loop is the same thing each time but with different elements of danger to work around.

It's fairly slow paced but methodical and you have to understand the ship to properly work with it which is a nice change of pace. Actively interacting with your environment instead of just using it as scenery in some click fest has me wanting to dissect even the same ship even more.

However, you don't have to! I've only made it to the end of the beginning and they've added in a ton of objects into the ships making it vastly more difficult. I've even missed parts that I didn't know were there until they came up on the invoice as destroyed. The next time when I tried to take it out I then blew up the entire back of the ship lol. As much as I wanted to just run in and get it out I learned the hard way you can't always do that.

I'm excited to see the other ships in this difficulty as I've only tried this one so far but there's obviously a lot of effort that's gone into the gameplay loop and making sure that it's not stale.

I hope you give it a shot and support the devs!

This is an MMO with most of the standard stuff... Cash shop (not pay2win), grind walls, lots of people, nice guys, douche bags, and all of the rest in between. BUT this game comes with the BEST action combat I've ever played! There are games I've payed for that don't come close to this level of awesome.

The graphics are actually really good for a game with Dx9 and built on the source engine. The bosses are creative and sometimes irritatingly difficult (but then you just bring a bud and wipe the floor with'em).

PvP? Couldn't tell ya how it is because I don't like to fight people on games like this... so I don't and it doesn't hinder the gaming experience on bit.

The music is good too and gets you pumped for fights

Then there are the wide variety of classes to choose from. At the moment there is a character for nearly every playstyle. The only one they don't have is one that uses stealth as their primary form of defence.

The only down side I see to this game is the RNG is aweful and can ruin your character by destroying the only weapon you own and leaving you with no money left. You sometimes have to have extreme luck for that NOT to happen. Good thing about that is you only have to worry about it during the late end game stuff.

So far I have only been able to play for about an hour (in-game) but my time playing was AMAZING. The matches were always filled with action and there was never a dull moment. Co-op against bots is gerat if you only have a friend or to play with but if you want to play with randoms or have a big group the verses modes are even better. Its only a matter of time before the servers are fixed and the game is playable all the time. I seriously encourage everyone to download this game...but not now because there are too mayn people already and you'll be getting in the way of my playtime :)

This game is a strange mix between battlefield and rainbow six. The graphics are far from todays AAA titles but are in no way a hinderance to gameplay. Each class has an extremely different playstyle that I was completely surprised by because if you try to fill another role such as close combat with an automatic rifleman it will not work out as well as trying it in other class based games. The combat is fun but punishing and each kill is rewarded with not only class exp but a sigh of relief that it wasn't you who caught a bullet especially in close combat or urban areas. Teamwork is essential and without a team you are truly nothing against the enemy. Great game at a great price for its content its just too bad that the DLC is only on the microsoft marketplace.
