Waited to play after game gets patched. Whole playthrough on 1.1.3.

STALKER 2 was an okay game with some better or worse gameplay elements until... I got stuck in a main story quest. Normally I would just replay from earlier save but after playing around with some minor bugs through whole game I had enough of it.

Unfortunetly, at this point I can't recommend anyone to play it in this state.

Let down.

If you like Harry Potter universe and want freedom to roam while waving your wand, then this game is for You.

If you want a good action RPG to spend more than 40 hours or re-play it a second time or even more times, then I don't this is it.

+ amazing crafted Harry Potter world
+ main story
+ moving around the world is fast (way-points, flying and running on mounts)
+ not much to do at Hogwarts aside from collectables
+ atmospheric soundtrack
+ crafting/breeding at The Room of Requirement but...

- ... potions and item upgrades make no sense to use because the fighting is so easy
- fighting is nothing more than button mashing since there are only cooldowns
- loot is boring and bad
- item stats - defense/offense
- open locks minigame - not a reflex, skill or intelligence challange, just prolonging game for no reason
- hotkeys for PC - made for console pads in mind
- too easy and simple puzzles
- too big world with copy-paste or empty dungeons/puzzles
- being thief makes no sense since you can just barge and steal in front of residents without any reaction
- no real consequences for your dialog choices (in most cases) and use of unforgivable curses
- small amount of enemy types

Evil West
The game has some really fun combat gameplay. Really dig the setting of wild west and vampire lore mixed. Graphics are really neat, the colors, the models, all is making it look superb. Cutscenes were making the job, felt like watching a movie and there wasn't too many of it which sometimes happens. Story was linear but kept moving at a right pace and each character was written solid (main character got some development during the game). Would really like to see the world expanded in the future with new game release.
What I didn't like was something that happens in every western games nowdays, every action is scripted (using whip, jumping etc all same button). Also, no jumping normally sucks in games like these... You cannot destory anything, boxes, carts etc are solid, leeeches and spiders, they move around and you can shot them yet nothing happens. All of the puzzles on levels were simple and only prolonged game time unnecessary. Whole game you are getting led by hand, there is everything marked with glowing elements. Passage? Glowing chains, box with money inside (you can actually destroy this one) - glowing. Destructable fence? Marked with icon. There are hanged man on some levels... you cannot shot rope to release bodies UNLESS you noticed glowing rope - then u can shot it. Where is the old school game play where you had to go around, explore on your own to find secrets and loots. Taking away all that is no fun. If you do that why not just make enemies drop the gold and loot insead of making fake exploring elements. Sometimes I feel like game devs think players are stupid and lazy.
While models and texture over all look good, the levels are designed in a way you cannot help but feel everything is placed by hand. Most of the areas look too clean, fake, hermetic. Didn't like that I couldn't most of the time backtrack to previous area.
Lastly, I didn't like the skill tree, felt like it was boring and generic. Weapon perks were okay, some changed the way weapon worked which was interesting.

To sum it up - game is a solid beat them up title. I don't think anyone will regret playing it tho I wouldn't buy it for full price for sure. The lore and cinematics are cool.

Cons and pros:
+ nice graphics and animations
+ design of characters, gear and monsters
+ lots of fun weapons
+ fighting system
+ cutscenes/cinematics
+ voice acting and dialogs
+ story (for an action game) and setting

- unnecessary (simple/easy) environmental puzzles
- every action is scripted
- you can't jump...
- led by hand in every aspect
- lack of environment elements to destroy
- invisible walls
- clean, hermetic levels
- you can't backtrack to previous areas (most of the time)
- character skill trees are boring
- checkpoint saves

Over all a good Frictional Games horror. It was hard for me to feel invested in the story tho I tried. The puzzles were easy, maybe a little too easy this time. Still I liked you didn't have to revisit the same places over and over again but with a new puzzle piece. The expand on the Amnesia: The Dark Descent lore is amazing! The world fueled by the fear and suffering is a disturbing idea. The mention of Alexander is a nice touch (at least I think the Apostate is him).

+Good Frictional Horror where all you can do is hide and run
+Lore of the previous game expanded
+Nearly no revisiting the same places over to solve puzzles
+Great voice acting
+Scary monster design
+Multiple choice of ending like in The Dark Descent

-Too easy puzzles
-Felt a little short

Game would be better for PC if only some kind of a bright guy decided to add mouse support. But probably too hard for this developer. It's steam published. Who gives a flying crap about pad or any other controller aisde from keyboard and mouse...

The game is broken AF on the new software and hardware. Maybe you will manage to use the community fixes or work arounds, maybe not. Aside from that game isnt anything special when it comes to gameplay so just spare yourself the trouble and don't waste time. It was good when it came out but time went on and now it's just bad.

CS:GO Review
Best competitive team based fps there is. It's plagued with more than enough issues so it's far from perfect, yet the lack of any suitable games to challange CSGO makes it the only viable choice.
