As much as I love Arma and have been eagerly waiting a sequel, give this a miss for now.

The game LOOKS beautiful, and functions great when you're in. Too bad you can't get in for longer than 10 minutes.
Servers are unplayable at the moment, almost every server crashes within 15 minutes of being populated. So all you can really do is check out the tutorial and fly around in game master to have a look at the island, which really is a shame.
Additionally, there are some MAJOR security flaws in both workshops and servers. Workshops can execute code without permission checking and servers use port 2001, a known trojan data port.

Overall at the moment, give it a hard miss unless you want to support development. It is not ready yet.

Edit: Multiplayer and server issues are mostly fixed, still some game breaking bugs but the game is playable now.
