this game provides a deep strategic & mechanical expression that is missing from most modern TDM shooters. it facilitates both low TTK when you capitalize upon mistakes & satisfyingly high TTK when you fight other well-coordinated teams. very excited to see how this game's competitive scene develops, and how embark will keep iterating upon modes & weapons across multiple seasons.

Early Access Review
this game has the potential to revive the survival mmo genre if they keep providing content and maximizing skill potential (grappling is really cool).
highly recommended, and keep up the good job.

This game is incredible & lived up to everything I hoped for. I'm having so much fun exploring every stage & grinding out the S3 & CD-styled minigames. The mini-bosses are an awesome addition (I legitimately laughed when I had to play Mean Bean Machine against Robotnik). Aesthetics are breathtaking, and some of the stage transitions are reminiscent of Markey Jester's work (whether or not this is intentional, I'm not sure, but clearly lots of creative ideas from the ROM-hacking scene bled into the game's development). My childhood would be jealous that I can play this game. Keep up the great work Taxman; I'm looking forward to your future releases.

I had a lot of fun playing Yooka-Laylee. Albeit not as difficult as I hoped, its open world aesthetic & fast-paced mechanics more than made up for my minor misgivings. Looking forward to your future games!
