I put off starting Hades for almost a year after being gifted the game by a friend. Why did I wait so long?!
I am used to playing a lot of FPS games, so something like a roguelike has always been harder for me to give a chance. I played my first escape attempt and was immediately hooked; I gotta escape! I am 24 hours in and have not beaten the game yet and each run through feels familiar, but tweaks (such as alternative bosses and random stage generation) keep it feeling fresh.
If you are like me and haven't played a lot of 3rd person dungeon crawlers or roguelike games, just give this one a shot. It is a great game for casual play and is easy to put down and pick back up again later. Also, works fantastic on the Steam Deck!
