I've never played a $50 game thats completely unplayable.

Update: The first updates out. After trying to simply put a Satellite in orbit, the Kraken once again rapidly disassembled it about 10 minutes into the mission. Still unplayable.

Would be a great game if it had better developers. Lots of potential.
Unfortunatly the devs are unprofessional, they can't get their priorities straight and they're just plain lazy.
They work on new things (at a very slow pace btw) instead of fixing the unpolished game mechanics. I get it it's more exciting to add all those new dinos, strains and humans etc. but that just shows that they really dont care much. (And I really dont know why it's necessary for them to add humans)
It took them about 1 1/2 years to add swimming so dinos can't just ambush you out of the water, for example.

- Most animations are nicely done and very fluid
- Maps like Thenyaw look great
- Sounds for the most part are well done, hearing a rex roar in the distance gets you immersed
- The Growth system is pretty neat in the Survival mode
- The community for the most part is actually really nice on the right servers. you can meet and play with some really kind people

- There are 3 gamemodes. Progression, Sandbox, Survival. 2 of them are just not worth playing in my opinion.
Unless you wanna check stuff out and test things Sandbox is boring. I dont even want to talk about Progression because Survival is just better and more fun in every way. In Survival you start out as a juvenile and grow until youre big. Which can in some cases take up to 7 hours. Or you die in the process and start over
- lots and lots of unpolished game mechanics. combat is as simple as it gets and not thought through very well, the scent system just seems useless unless youre a herbivore, you break your legs way too easily and a lot more bullsh*t they just didn't put much heart into
- like I said above development is very slow and mostly new crap no one needs
- Official Servers are garbage and community servers are mostly empty except for a few and those have some dense admins

All in all a game only worth buying and playing when you like the concept of being a dino and you have friends or find friends to play this game with otherwise youre gonna get bored and annoyed really quickly.
