Could be a fun game with a lot of potential, but racing for six hours with one car to get enough to get another car that I don't even want (Level 20), which would then require 12 hours of grind to get the ACTUAL next car I want (Level 30)... saying nothing of getting into Ferrari at Level 40.

Nope, that's not it.

Additionally, the dynamic difficulty is so irritating. I love not being able to tune my car and racing the exact same car that is somehow faster on the straights AND has better acceleration because I've now hit "expert" AI? Oh, you lost four times in a row? Let's turn it down a notch. Oh, you won "experienced" by 8 seconds? Back up to expert. The only benefit is that there's not a huge bonus for winning.

Amazing art style and storylines, both for each survivor and the game in general. Highly recommend. 100 hours and I can still fire it up from time to time and play.

Look, this isn't Civ, and for the price, don't expect it to be. It's a fun little time sink.

Give predatory loans, get your enforcers to collect on them when people default, gain property, rinse and repeat. Then do the same with the other banks, use your influence to grab a territory or two, and move up the rankings. If that sounds fun, this is perfect. You don't set rates, it's not insanely in-depth, and there's not much RNG.

If you enjoy that and get it on sale, it's a steal.

A masterpiece, really. I would have waited for a sale, but after watching one chapter of the new story mode... yeah, I was kind of hooked. Bought it day one at full price and don't regret it. It's just a very well done, polished game.

DO NOT BUY - NO NO NO NO - Get the Deluxe Edition or the base Beyond Light - this edition is a COMPLETE waste of money.

Easy to jump into, but really hard to master long term, once your city gets larger. I've been playing city building sims since SNES and I was pleasantly surprised with Cities: Skylines. Don't overthink it - if you like the genre, you won't be disappointed.

According to Time Wasted on Destiny, I'm well above 900 hours into Destiny 2. The game as it sits today is far better than it was at launch, or even after D2Y1 - don't let those ghosts haunt you. I'm not going to say it's without flaws, but this game is my hobby.

Pros
There is a ton to do - more than I can reasonably accomplish in a week before reset
Gunplay is amazing
Tons of PvE loadout options
Enough interesting weapons that will work in PvP, even off meta (until you get high enough ranked, but as a barely +1.0KD, I don't need to worry about that)
Event that rotate and liven things up
Third party apps that make life easier (DIM, Ishtar, guardian.gg, braytech.org)
Convoluted story, but it's interesting when someone weaves it together (My Name is Byf)
Guides for most everything (Datto, Esoterickk)
There's forward momentum - things keep getting better
We finally got transmog (!)

Cons
A lot of cosmetics went paid
Not a lot of guidance starting out - getting started information isn't spoon fed
Questionable matchmaking in PvP, though I like mine better now than when it was only connection based
Tick rate in PvP means trades are common - this was crazy to me when I started D1
Transmog isn't as good as it could/should be yet

Neither
Season Pass is how I want to consume Destiny as I want it to be WOW, not COD - folks disagree
