Early Access Review
This game is good, the golden days of Half-Life modding might be done but this is probably the crowning achievement of the pile. I found it to be faithful enough that people who are interested in getting into Half-Life and are turned off by old graphics could play this instead, and fresh enough that people who swear and die by the original will still get a kick out of this.
It's hard to say if it's worth the wait. I think on one hand a linear singleplayer campaign like this would have been a better experience for me if it hadn't been released in pieces like it had, but on the other hand the fact that this was a project that was lovingly crafted by die-hard fans of the franchises is what makes it special, and this was the way they could have done it. It would not have been as solid an experience without that love I think, I'm glad this wasn't just handed of to a studio to finish within a deadline.
I'm glad it's here, I'm glad it is what is is, and I'm glad that I'm now gonna be able to play it from one end to the other proper. So thank you Project Crowbar.

It's nice. Fun and simple stealth mechanics, that reminds me a bit of games like Dishonored and Hotline Miami. It has a lot of witty dialogue, that sadly suffers a bit from it's in-your-face 4th wall breaking-nes. It could use some more mechanics, and some more choices in how you want to do missions - and what missions you want to do! But that's the kind of stuff you'd hope to see in a sequel.
It's cheap, and it's a few hours of fun. If you like stealth I'd say go for it.
