I don't know what this thing is doing, but after about ten to fifteen minutes of fantastic performance: it'll poop the bed. Frames drop to single digits, sound cuts out. Basically becomes completely unplayable. Weirdest thing was that these slowdowns persisted after shutting down the game. Had to restart my system.

Game issues shouldn't continue after the game is shut down. Tried tweaking the settings. Searched online for solutions. Nothing worked. Thought it was the cut scene issue others were having, but no. The game runs on a timer for me. Even tested it by starting the game, running around for thirty seconds, just to make sure its running well, then I paused it, and walked out of the room. Came back fifteen minutes later, started it up, and the performance was Dog Sh!t again. Someone mentioned that plugging in, or connecting the controller before starting helps. Tried that too. Nope. I will say that reconnecting the controller could quite possibly cause performance to drop too. If that's the case, then they should've caught this before selling it.

Do not buy.

I'm digging this game. I remember watching my friend play it for a few minutes about three or four years ago, and it looked like a lot of fun. It is a lot of fun... and funny! Chris Parnell improves everything he's a part of. Dude is the perfect narrator. I think I ran into the "Scaly Pete Bug". I have no idea how to find this guy. I'd care more about this, but I'm making the Jaws remake I never knew I needed.

UPDATE: Was playing last night, and the power went out. Loaded up the game later, and my save was gone. Level 33 Elder. Gone. All progress gone. Started me from jump. I no longer recommend this game.

Just shy of perfect.

Best fighting game I've ever played. Looks fantastic, plays better.
Just a few problems. Few bugs to iron out mostly. The thing I really don't like is how they monetize EVERYTHING. They charge for the color of player costumes. Little things like that are just slimy.

Great online. Battle Hub is a thing that exist. I like it, but it gets weird in there. Which is one of the things I like the most. Avatar battles! Who doesn't want to make their own action figures, and bash them against their friend's action figures?

The World Tour was better than I thought. Getting text from the characters I've been punch-kicking with since the early nineties was surprisingly something I never knew I wanted, and it's a fantastic tool for beginners. It's basically an open world fighting game tutorial. Awesome addition.

There's A LOT that I haven't mentioned, because this is more than I wanted to type.

I played the hecking heck out of this on The Switch. Bought the Steam version, because this game is an all timer to me, and I want to be able to play it long after my Nintendo breaks.

The 4 color art style, music, game play, and characters are way ahead of most of the games made. It's just fun.

Highly recommend.

I didn't get very far into this game. there was an update. and now the EA launcher keeps forgetting my login info. They took a thing that worked, and made it so I now have to do as password reset (it's always the same password) every single time. I checked the Keep me logged in button. So, once I finally get logged in, and now I have to sit through a bunch of crap I can't skip before the menu.

Aside from the technical difficulties: this game is overrated. That "choice" in the beginning was a joke. I let the guy fall to protect my identity, and the game made me redo it. Just make it a cut scene. No one wants their time wasted like that. I hope it gets better, but so far it's boring. The controls feel off, like the animation take priority over the inputs.

It's pretty. I'll give'em that.

There are 44 fighters on the selection screen, and you have to purchase 28 of them for four dollars a pop. When did this become okay? The game wasn't free. It wasn't that long ago, that you would buy a game, and you got... the game. Not like 30% of the game. You got the whole damn thing. I get that in the old days they would put out multiple versions, but we caught on, waited around a year, and bought the good one. This kind of greed is going to kill the franchise. GUILE cost extra? Guile?! I saw some people excited for SF6. I cannot wait to see what kind of crap they pull.

Edit: SF6 seems pretty good. Hopefully they don't ruin it with too much greed.

The driving is wonky, I've had to restart it more than once because of sound issues, and I've heard it's unplayable on the previous generation of consoles, but it's a good game. The bugs will be fixed in time, and by then I'll be starting another playthrough, with (hopefully) a new GPU. This five year old back up card ain't cutting it. Although, the game is still pretty in medium-low settings.

It's a good enough game, and I do enjoy it, but it looks like an N64 title at its current state. They had to have been aware of how prolific the bugs were before launch, and they charged fifty bucks for a three year old game anyway.

UPDATE!! I downloaded the first "fix", and now its constantly crashing, and the textures still look like hot garbage.
