This is a fantastic game. Motorcycles, zombies, great story, great mechanics, beautiful world.
This is one and only game that I've seen motorcycle is done correctly. The visible clutch manipulation, gear shifting, counter-steering at high speeds but normal steering at slow speeds.

The hordes are amazing. Keep you blood pumping. Story is one of my favourites. The 'generic' love story that is been missing for years at this point. Deacon St. John's actor did an incredible job bringing the character to live, selling you the world and the character.

The technical state that this game is in is also incredible. It runs really well and it looks far better than any DLSS slop that comes out these days.

Buy this game instead of the 'remaster'. This game doesn't need one. The original version is far superior.

I have the first game on GOG and when I saw that the second game is coming out I decided to buy it day one. This game is something special. A simple design but the design done incredible well. I am having a ton of fun with Janosik 2 and I don't even play these types of games that often! Highly recommend!

The game is super unoptimised. I run 7800x3D with 3080 and I don't struggle to reach minimum 60FPS in all new games. With this one I struggle to reach even consistent 50FPS.
I could only play the tutorial as the performance was just terrible.
Mouse movement feels like you ice skating. I get that this is supposed to be a hardcore survival game, but that is just not good. Maybe would be better on a controller, but a shooter game that released on PC only (as of now) has terrible mouse controls, it's just disappointing.

On top of that, the game is forcing you to use Epic services. This is an unreal engine game, so it's given, but seeing that this is a single-player game I should be able to play this game without it. I have the epic services blocked on my PC so when I launched the game I couldn't even play as I was greeted with "Login timed out" message. This reliance on epic online services for multiplayer or connection is terrible. There should be a warning about EOS on the store page like with Denuvo or other services.

TL;DR
Just wait few months. The game has potential and the concept is fantastic, but never buy a promise. Wait and see if devs fix the performance and other stuff.

What a beautiful game. One of the best games I've played. Soundtrack, art direction, characters, story, gameplay, everything is perfect.
I watched the show when I was a kid and while playing this game I got brought back to those times. I haven't cried like this in years, of course these were happy tears.
Thank you for creating this beautiful game. This is art.

> be me
> spec your character into a stealthy hacker space man
> do the story missions
> be asked to go to a very far away planet
> can't travel because my ship is not powerful enough
> went shopping
> "You cannot purchase ships from this class" need a leveled up perk
> the perks in question require 4-14 skill points + challenges to be wasted just to finish the game

Stupid game design

When I saw the announcement for the sequel I was really excited. I really liked the first game, even though it was rough around the edges, but it was amazing. The edges though, you couldn't cut yourself with those. Where as the this entry, the edges are so rough that they will rip the skin right off.

The performance is not great. I get constant stuttering whenever traversing from arena to arena. Frames drop from 170 down to 16 after the slo-mo "executions" and will not go away until I change something in the video settings. That is DURING combat sequence, which just kills it completely. Audio in some sections cuts in and out, like someone is pulling out and plugging back in my headphones. I like to play on FOV between 95-105 and usually it's fine, but this game changes the perspective terribly. Not only the 90 FOV feels like 70, but when I change it to 100 everything looks like it's a good distance but in reality it isn't even close. I found myself swinging way too soon, missing the attacks.

The gameplay is not great either. There are a lot of bugs that kill your momentum, in a game about being a cyborg ninja, where the movement supposed to be great. The FOV makes you feel like you're a tank, either seeing normally but feel slow or see very narrow and feel slightly faster. Level design is not great either. Traversing doesn't feel smooth and finding the next path forward is not easy. I often just stand and look around to try and find a way.

There are a lot of great ideas in the game but none of them are executed well. Needs more time in the oven for polish LOTS of stuff up

I love MGS3 to bits. It's one of my most favourite games of all time. Seeing that it's coming to PC and Steam I got really excited, but I knew, very well, that this isn't going to be the best port.
It's a re-release of a HD Collection, which itself is a port of a PS2 game. I didn't expect KB/M controls, bunch of games on PC don't have that as standard. I knew the frames will be locked to 60FPS as game is tied to the frames.
What I wanted the most are achievements, up to 4k resolution (upscaled is fine), playable PC version of the game and Steam Deck compatibility. I got 2 out of 4, which I am happy about.
The game runs fine. There are no issues, as far as I've played. It's your old buddy Naked Snake and his amazing adventure, this time on PC. If you don't have the money, wait for updates. If you unsure about the game, wait for updates. If you're a massive fan of MGS games, especially MGS3, then get it.
I'll be waiting for Steam Deck compatibility updates and hopefully higher resolution options,
