This is one of the few games that I can agree aged beautifully. TF2 was my first ever FPS period, and it's been an incredibly important part of me since i picked it up in 2012.

Team Fortress 2 is a game that is literally life-changing in how fun and social it is. The people I've met through the game have shaped me into who I am today, and indulging in the fanbase TF2 created made some of my fondest memories. The game is far more fun and nonthreatening than any other FPS I have ever played; It encourages trading and investing, friendliness, and ridiculousness. The nine distinct characters are hilarious and easy to identify on the battlefield, the gameplay is clear-cut with no unnecessary complications, the customization is so. much. fun., and the lore is the most cohesive and most silly in any F2P first person shooter I've ever seen!

The playerbase has gone down in recent years and sometimes it feels that Valve has given up on this game, but don't let that deter you. The game as I left it was a game full of love, life, and friendly sandwich-wielding Heavies. Some things never change, and that can be a good thing; TF2 will tell you that.

9/10. Fun game, but the community is the thing making up for all its shortcomings nowadays, not Valve. I hope TF2 is never forgotten about, and to pick it up and keep it alive is the biggest service you could do me.
