This game is one of the ones that most people won't care for, but a lot of other's will absolutely love it. It is incredibly well made, polished and thought out. It is common for people to sink way too much time into this without realizing. Usual game hours are in the 100s of hours, and people with 1000s in the same save are not that uncommon.

If you like solving problems, finding creative solutions, designing things and enjoy the art style, prepare to spend a lot of hours.

You should try the demo, see if it's for you. You might lose a lot of gaming time to play other games - be warned.

Immortal Empires is just pure fun, they really did a good job at optimizing load times and overall campaign map feel for it. Actually crazy how well it works, considering how many factions there are and how big the map is. Did a few playthroughs already, and looking forward to more!

The game that launched a genre - extremely fun, casual game, with well-thought out progression, lots of secrets to discover and an almost endless amount of fun! Completely worth it, including DLCs.

Fun Bullet-Hell-esque game with entertaining take on how to do your build. The roguelike aspects, meta upgrades, are enjoyable. Sadly it has a lot of typos both in-game and in Steam achievements, which makes understanding some unlock requirements a bit difficult. Regardless, had a lot of fun!

I have played through this game on PS4 when it released, and bought it again. I rarely play singleplayer-only games, but this is one of the best games I have ever played. I love the approach to storytelling, the riddles, the boss and enemy mechanics, the controls (with a controller), soundtrack and overall atmosphere. It's one of these rare products that does everything right.

Decent Tower Defense game with cooperative mode, quite fun for a while, especially with friends.
Actually more difficult than I would've thought.

This game is simply amazing, albeit it has some small problems. The developers are champs and constantly update this, to make the already insane scale even more insane. There's so much to do, so many up- and sidegrades, so much to unlock and explore and experience.

Which is one of the problems, without Google and the wiki, you are pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Playing this game blind is extremely difficult, as not a lot is explained. The new Exploration mode is actually a good place to start the game, since the milestones (goals) give you a rough idea of what you can even do. But even then they are often too vague and you might not even have any idea where to start.

The other big issue is Coop - it works alright, but there are no vehicles you can take together, the base building is often glitchy where it doesn't load in correctly and apart from the Nexus missions, there is no real focus on it.

That being said, I spent 170 hours in this game before I stopped playing and felt like I have done 'mostly' everything (spoiler: I didn't), and now have come back and am enjoying it again. The game feels great (even though it's slightly buggy here and there), and gives you a great sense of scale and speed.

A definite must-buy for anybody that wants to have a space crafting exploration game.

Well, I bought this for less than 1 € on a sale and swiftly put in 130+ hours over the course of two weeks. Might be the best money-to-time value I've ever gotten from a game.

Even though the theme doesn't make it seem that way, it is surprisingly complex, has actual difficult maps and a bunch of strategies and combinations you can do. I also enjoy the alternate difficulty challenges where you are forced to play with a certain type of Monkey (tower) exclusively.

Works really well in Coop, supports Cloud save so you can play on multiple devices and is a no-brainer for any fan of Tower Defense to buy.

The only thing that is missing from this, and apparently all Tower Defenses on Steam, is mazing. Somehow that became unpoplar sadly, still looking for a good TD that has proper mazing.

This game has surprised me from day one with how fun it is - doesn't matter if you play solo or with friends, since it's a Roguelike, every run feels different and there's always something to chase.

The addition of skill variations & skins to unlock brought some very appreciated persistent progression. Would highly recommend to fans of the genre and for everybody who wants to know what this 'Roguelike' thing even is. It was my introduction to it, and since then my love for this new-found genre has only grown.

Looking foward to the next big update and their paid expansion in Q4 2021. Will most likely buy that, since the developers have earned my trust in making something fun!

Early Access Review
If you grew up with the Pokémon series and have been craving reliving that experience, but maybe with a controller and a bigger screen, then this is the game for you.

The game's art is amazing, their Tem are varied, combat feels nice and looks awesome, animations are good across the board, controller support works flawlessly but it let's you switch to KB/M without any hassle, any time.

Furthermore, it supports full coop without any limitations and is constantly introducing new features, content and QoL updates.

Definitely worth the money.
