The loneliness of playing this game solo can be melted away with time dilation and hyper focus. Good soundtrack, humurous dialog, solid mechanics with plenty of depth to explore, and lots of room to have friends join in if you wish.

This game has all the basics sorted out to such a wonderful degree that it's a joy to lose hours into. Only thing I ever get frustrated with is how badly I'm playing. The game play itself is phenomenal.

While some of the core mechanics of game play are obviously dated and a bit clunky, the story shines through with deep narratives about the importance of friendship, reliability and maintaining an open mind to the differences present between all people. Additionally, the score that was prepared for this title is phenomenal and perfectly frames the mood of each scene, helping to emphasize the nuances of the story. I originally played this game when it released on the Xbox 360 and have had a hard time identifying major differences between the releases other than improvements to character models and increased ease of play through use of the mouse for aiming during combat. There are certain aspects of menu navigation and key parts of the story that could use adjustment to improve quality of life and maintain immersion instead of feeling like a chore, but I still feel that the story alone overcomes these shortfalls and makes this game a sleeper classic.

Still a fun way to annoy people all around the world. I'd rate it a perfet 5 out of 7.
