NFS Heat is a great game, when it works. I've bought the game through Steam, but it still has to link to Origin, and at least for me it has created a problem whenever I have to open NFS. Got to go through verifying game files, launching stuff as admin etc. just to get the game to work. I also didn't have enough time and willingness to look around the net to find how I could finally get my controller to work, so I settled on using the keyboard.

If we set these problems aside, the game itself is great. The driving mechanics feel a bit wonky coming from literally any game, but once you get the hang of it, it makes sense. Reason for it being the way it is have to do with the game not being so punctual with game modes - in older NFS games you could only properly drift in drift modes. In this game, you can drive normally but launch into a special drift on the fly.

The cars are beautiful and customization options plenty, of course depending a bit on the car. The map is gorgeous, whether you're playing during the daytime (during which you grind money in legitimate races) or nighttime (street racing and running from the cops). There are plenty of collectibles to find and stunt jumps etc. to achieve in the map, and completing the game 100% took me around 150 hours.

All this being said, there is no reasoning behind the game's price tag as it is (69,99€), other than high costs to make. If you can find the game on sale, go for it - otherwise don't bother unless you really love a certain aspect of the game. The game itself - 8/10, with all the hassle, maybe a 5/10.

This is pretty much a re-imagined version of the classic Warcraft 3 custom game, but with more levels, features, and a tiny but very active community, The game also features intense, but rewarding, game-play.

Matches can run quite long, usually lasting for around an hour. Make sure you have some time put aside for this! Being aware of your surroundings and being preservative with ammo can come in handy at times, but I won't go deeper than that. It's a fun little game, 6/10.

One of the game’s themes is how people present themselves online as well as offline. This is no more evident than with the various interactions the small groups of characters have with each other in the game. Cassandra Watergate is, on one hand, an emotionally unstable, childish woman who does not care about adult responsibility, but on the other hand she is an activist who might have been responsible for a series of bombings and assaults on police.

Which character is the real one? That is what makes the story interesting. Orwell sets up characters that behave in unique ways, behaviour patterns that often conflict with your perception and then ask you to decide who they are. People are different online and in the presence of other people. Orwell uses limited perception and distorted character presentation to make the player want to continue playing.

The gameplay itself is quite easy and straight-forward. You use Orwell to find data on various people supposedly involved in terrorist activities, in order to uncover who's responsible and who's not. Relevant information is highlighted in blue. Orwell might be easy, but that does not make it any less interesting. Simple, but very polished.

The game has an idea, but it gets repetitive quite fast. A 5/10.

Anna's Quest is a point-and-click adventure game, created by Krams Design and developed by Daedalic Entertainment, released in 2015.

Main character of the game is Anna, a girl who lives on a farm with her grandfather. One day, her grandfather gets ill and Anna leaves the farm to find a cure for him. While on her adventure, she is caught and locked up by a witch - Winfriede. What follows these events is a German-style fairytale with a twist.

After a while, Anna discovers that she possesses a gift of telekinesis. She also meets Ben, who's the soul of a boy trapped in a teddy bear. With him, she manages to escape Winfriede and go searching for her grandfather's cure. This leads down a long and winding path through a town, a dungeon and finally a castle. But Anna must beware, for Winfriede is always right behind her.

The artstyle is very cute, which works with the theme of the game quite well. Music and sounds altogether fit very well to the game's atmosphere as well. The game also features voice acted parts, which are just fine. It took a while to get used to some of the voices, but that's just me. The difficulty of the puzzles varies greatly. Some of them are obvious, others on the other hand can be very challenging. Sometimes it feels that the game's not really helping you either. Nevertheless the puzzles are quite enjoyable and, more importantly, original.

Overall, a good game. I'll give it a personal rating of 6/10, because single-player puzzles aren't as enjoyable as multi-player ones. If the game had some kind of a MP-story as well, easy 7/10.

This will most likely leave you quite impressed. The 'game' looks really good, which does come as quite the surprise when taken into consideration that it's a demo from around 15 years ago. One of the things Valve has actually done right. I won't spoil what's in it, but it's beautiful and worth taking a look at. Enabling commentary is recommended, because that way you'll get an insight to some of the developing processes etc. If you own HL2 (which you should, by the way), check this out as well. It's very short, but you'll find yourself going back to it every once in a while.

A solid 6/10 even by today's standards.

This game depicts the life of a security guard inside Black Mesa Research Facility on THAT day. It gives you a more in-depth idea of what Barney Calhoun had to go through while Gordon was trying to get out of the facility. This was the second DLC released for the original Half-Life, and unfortunately a bit shorter than the first one, Opposing Force.
If you like the Half-Life world and story, definitely worth playing through at least once in your life.

As a game it's quite clunky by today's standards, but it has some depth so points for that. 4/10.

Early Access Review
Head Shot is one of those games that come out in Early Access and just get abandoned by the devs, as well as the players..
As a game it sucks, being left in the stage it is, and the only mode, multiplayer, is basically unplayable due to the lack of players.

If a developer ever reads these reviews and decides to get back into bettering the game, here are a few things that needed to be addressed:
1. The maps are too small. Most of the maps are very unbalanced and don't have that much going on aesthetically speaking. In addition to that, getting outside of the map is relatively easy.
2. The medic class is pretty much just not working.
3. There's no tutorial whatsoever.

All in all, the game isn't even close to being at a stage where it would be enjoyable to play.

If that wasn't enough, they actually went and used pre-made assets and models. Very unique.
Even If it had a big enough playerbase to play it, it'd still need a lot of work. 1/10

The game mechanics being very close to TF2, I recommend you just read my review on that one instead. This game is essentially a nostalgic kick for the people who've been playing it back in the day.

If I'd have to give the game a real rating, I'd say a 4/10. The game itself is a 1 by today's standards, being clunky at all, but it made TF2 possible, which is a staple in the FPS-genre.

This is going to be short, I've no clue to why I've at some point spent money on this...

Needless to say it's awful. All you basically do is move your cart left or right to catch pieces of gold, while avoiding rocks and other stuff that will quickly damage your cart. The controls are horrible. Stay away from this game.

If I was still able to get a refund I would. Too bad the game got stuck open so I couldn't. It's a 1/10 from me, not even a game really. The same thing can be found as an online flash game for free.
