i like turtles

"Platinumed" base game and DLC on PS4 years ago and giving it a go on PC now. Best RPG of last gen gaming.

Only gripe is the tessellation does not work well on AMD GPU while using DX12, had to switch to DX11 to get rid of ongoing terrain glitches. The game still looks amazing on Ultra + but can't utilize the "next gen" update using DX11 on a brand new high end AMD PC.

*awaits AMD hate* :)

So much better than any paper and pen D&D game. I'm 45 years old and have no time to use my imagination anymore. With two kids in high school that luxury is long gone. All the heavy lifting has been done for me! Just click, attack, something, something, then loot! 10/10!

Still love this game.

I'm a bit of a LoU fanboi. Played six times total, three on PS3 and three more on PS4.

I haven't played this version yet because as of 2 hours after game drops, I'm at 38% "building shaders".

Might have to leave this running tonight when I go to bed.

I recommend the game itself but not sure if I can recommend this version of it yet.


EDIT:

20 minutes after I wrote this review the remaining % of shader building finished.

I went in to about 99% blind, the 1% was hearing a podcast talk about it for a few minutes and then skipped ahead.

This game is phenomenal. The story, the controls, the art, the mechanics, the world are all top notch. They crammed a lot into this seemingly tiny shoe box and it works very well.

Just get the game, I got 100% of the achievements this afternoon and I would play it again just to read the story as I know I didn't read all of it thoroughly.
