Europa Universalis IV is one of the most interesting, time-consuming and genre-defining "grand strategy" games ever made.
You can control any country in the world (Native American tribes, Mongol Hordes, the pope, Holy Roman Empire) in the Age of Discovery (1444-1805). Every nation, howsoever small, has the chance to become a superpower in colonizing, rading, land war or naval warfare.

This game is hard to learn, but if you watch some tutorials, play for yourself, watch some more tutorials and play some more, you acquire the required knowledge to have a lot of fun.

Paradox Development Studio is also known for improving their games by adding more stuff (free patches and major game changing DLCs) to the game, even years after the releases.

It's definitely worth buying for the full price, if you have enough time to spend.
