First of all, the people who say that this isn't Darksiders or that it doesn't feel like Darksiders can't get my respect. Every Darksiders game have a different structure and a different combat style, so that argument has no weight.

Ignoring that, the game is good. Darksiders has never been an extraordinary franchise. They are games that do good enough gameplay, but elevate themselves with the art style, the cheese and edge. Darksiders III is that.

This game doesn't have dungeons, villages or routes, it's a connected set of corridors where you go from one point to another to find the next boss. There isn't much obligatory backtracking, so that's good.

The combat is the worst in the series. I find it enjoyable, but you won't be styling on your oppnent. You hit them with combos that look similar, dodge and counter attack. It's simple but it hasn't got old to me.

One comlpain might be that there is nothing to do once you finish the game. Darksiders II had a battle arena, which is great because it's the one with best combat, but here the developers relegated the combat arena to a DLC, which is pretty sad. I would probably not play any extra content because I like to finish a game and get to another one, but that's something to note. Another complain is that the performance is awful.

If you like the previous two games, this one is a no-brainer. If you haven't played the previous games, I suggest starting with the first game. I'm my opinion it's the one with better balance between the structure of the game and the gameplay. In my opinion this is a worthy entry in the series.

Such an amazing game. It's as simple as you can get, but at the same time is challenging and fun. You just use 2 buttons, one to attack to your right and the other one for your left. That's it.

The game might look underwhelming in the trailers with so much happening on screen, but it's not distracting by any means, nothing gets in the way. If you still have visibility problems, there's a ton of options to customize your game.

The game by design it's infinitely replayable, but even with that, you have a campaign, an survival mode and a sort of roguelite mode.

I'm totally buying this game again when it releases on the Switch later.

A very simple yet challenging and enjoyable game. I beat the Normal difficulty in 3 hours without too much trouble, but the game has a New Game+ with another difficulty levels. I've enjoyed this game a lot.

Take the first game, which is already amazing, add more abilities and change the dumb memes in the background with fleshed out and funny references. That's basically Guacamelee 2 in a nutshell. If you don't know anything about the first game, I'll start from the beginning:

Guacamelee 2 is a metroidvania game with simple but incredibly enjoyable combat and precise platforming. You use you wrestling moves to traverse the beautiful landscapes while listening to a great soundtrack.

The characters in this game are very charming and fun, just like the ones in the first game. They appear here too, so you'll know what's up with them.

The game has many references to videogames in general. Maybe too many, but I don't think it makes the game worse unless you really despise that sort of thing. I think that the references are handled decently, except at the beginning, where the game throws you a lot of them.

The game sells the "you can be a chicken" a lot, and I was worried that the developers were making a "lolsorandom" joke that overstated it's welcome. Thankfully that's not the case. You use your chiken power more than in the first game, but unlike the chicken power of the first game, which made you vulnerable and useless, here you have new abilities and your combat skills, so it's fun to be a chicken.

It took me about 9 hours to beat the game (15 hours for the 100% on normal mode). The combat is satisfying, the platforming challening, the music is great, the characters are charming and the jokes, while don't hit the nail always, can be pretty great. If you liked the first game, there's no reason not to buy it's sequel. It's more of the same, and in Guacamelee's case, you can't ask for more.

Great premise filled with anime tropes and crappy gameplay. If you are interested in this game, I would have suggested to read the manga to skip the badly designed minigames, but it seems impossible to find it complete online.

Obviously, you should play the first game first. The bad thing is that this game repeats some of the events of the first game and being self-aware doesn't fix the problem (this game does this a lot).

I laughed hard at the main plot twist at the end, take that as you will.

A "meh" single player platform but a great cooperative one. The cooperative aspect is well implemented, you actually have to cooperate with your partner, something you don't do in many platformers with cooperative mode. If you play alone, the levels are sightly different so you can be them by yourself.

The problem with playing with a partiner is that the respawns are terrible. Many times one player must be left behind so the other can advance, but if that player gets a chekpoint flag and a bit later dies, it respawns when the partner is far behind instead on the chekpoint flag.

Anyway is a fun cooperative platformer with a sense of humour that you might like or not, but I don't think it gets in the way of the gameplay.

This is a game that can be played as a boring cover based shooter or as a character action game. Although for the later one you have to get good at the game. What I'm trying to say is that this is not an average cover shooter. You have melee attacks, you can dodge, and you can slow-down time while sliding pretty fast through the battlefield.

In a way, this game reminds me to BulletStorm in the sense that they might seem generic shooters unless you play them (or see someone good playing it). The game is not long if you plan to do just one walkthrough, but it's pretty cheap for what is it. Also, people say that this game is 4 hours long... but that's considering that you don't die ever.

I've had some problems with the port but at least it worked, without many problems thankfully. One note: you can't remap controller buttons in-game.

About the game, this is a fantastic game. And a hard one. I beat this game twice in Normal and Bayonetta 2 on Normal and Hard (the second game is much easier) and I still struggle to get good trophies at the end of each level (the crappy QTEs don't help getting better ones).

I'm not a big fan of Devil May Cry games but I love Bayonetta ones, so if you don't like DMC you might like this one (unless you really dislike DMC).

My only problem with this game is how hard is to unlock weapons and how stupidly hidden the secret fights are. You can solve this watching videos on Youtube while playing but it's annoying. Oh, and the insta-death QTEs, they are the worst.

A really good side-scroller exploration game.

In this game the exploration is key. You won't get upgrades or something like that so you don't have to worry about getting all of them, geting collectives or grinding for levels or money, which is great. There's currency in the game but you don't usually need it to advance in the game. There's some little worms you can rescue but again, it's not a big deal (you get money and other stuff for them). I haven't encounter too many times where I couldn't continue because I didn't have certain power, which is nice, but it still happens.

The combat is simple but the different enemies and the thight controls makes the game very enjoyable to play.

If you like exploration games this is a must play game. I, for example, love the game overall, but I can't beat it because I'm terrible at exploration games, and following guides all the time is very annoying to me.

I only tried this on free weekend and I couldn't even play it. I didn't have the graphics card drivers updated so some problems could be because of that.

-I had no sound, at all.

-The options menu is inside multiplayer instead of the main menu. But the Store it's there because it's more important.

-A cutscene appears every time I pick multiplayer (I skipted it).

-"Find a match" is locked, I've heard on the internet that you have to watch the cutscene to select a team or something. If watching the cutscene is important, why let the people skip it?

-Preloading shaders take a very long time.
