Excellent. I've been wanting a good medieval slasher/melee type game since the Age of Chivalry mod years ago. I never found the standalone Chivalry: MW game very enjoyable either, so when I first discovered this my exceptions were obviously high, and so was the hype. And I gotta say, it definitely didn't disappoint. It's near everything I've wanted from a game of this type.

Sure, there were some launch issues with progression etc, but unlike some of the negative reviews on here, I don't think you should dismiss the rest of the game due to a few launch issues, especially considering it's made by an indie studio, and there have been worse launches even from triple-A ones. And despite the launch issues, I was able to enjoy the game pretty much non-stop.

- Performance & optimization is very good, much better than I expected.
- Combat mechanics are really good and felt intuitive, easy to learn, very difficult to master.
- Everything feels quite balanced, for the most part.
- Content is great. A good amount of maps, game modes, gear, customization, etc.
- Not much about it feels "budget", everything is very well polished.
- The server side of things is good enough, usually servers have low pings and netcode/lag-comp feels good overall.

I realize these are mostly pros, but I'm honestly struggling with finding cons, which is rare for me. I suppose AI could be better, and there could be better ways of enforcing server rules, maybe something to better prevent griefing, possibly a votekick system of some sort. Either way, I'm sure these things will improve.

Beta/alpha players pubstomping isn't really an issue for me, you can at least learn from them and turn killing them into an amusing challenge. Some of y'all should stop being so entitled and expect literally everything in a game launch to be perfect, I can see why some studios opt out having an early access. Even beta/early access games should be damn near flawless, or it somehow deserves a negative review.

Do you want a really good medieval slasher/melee type game with great and engaging combat, a very high skill ceiling that let you strive to become better, while still providing a lot of content, enjoyable game modes, etc. Yet whilst having no RNG, exploits, or other stupid "handicap mechanics" that let players win out of plain luck? If so, then buy this.

Be warned though, the game is straight up hardcore. Yes, it's difficult, Yes, you will probably suck. However, you surely won't be the only one.

Very good overall in terms of gameplay, but can't recommend it at this point due to the poor performance. Even when the framerate is somewhat high and quite stable it still feels very laggy and unresponsive.

Atrocious in every way.

Online is a cesspool riddled with cheaters running rampant and griefiers, and the prices are massively inflated so good luck being able to afford anything legitimately, especially newly released content. Unless you grind a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that is, or spend real money. Both of which isn't worth it, or something I can imagine anyone would wanna do considering the state the game are in.

It had the potential be very good, but they completely screwed it up by being way too greedy and ignoring all the issues with cheaters, griefers, etc. Basically they don't give a crap, and now Take Two pretty much killed modding by declaring OpenIV illegal.

Greedy practices

This game literally changed my life. Before I played this I didn't know you could experience feelings so strong for something with so little significance on the outside. I feel overwhelmed with all different kinds of emotions throughout the journey of this game and I just can't for the life of me understand why exactly that is. Love, sadness, pain, joy, rage. This has it all.

You play as a bear. What more can you want?
