game is super fun bullet hell rouge-ish. my only problem is the flashing and pulsing bullets, i find it extremely distracting, wish there was a solid color option for enemy bullets.

i tried really hard to like this game and i have several thousand hours in poe 1, this game is poe 1 with all the annoying crap and a quarter of the game speed, the loot is literally nonexistent 40 hours i found maybe 30 rares, i guess you have to use all your crafting materials to make anything reasonable which as soon as you get an upgrade it goes right in the garbage. hopefully the release will be much better

thank you for patching the bugs, games fun and atmospheric, it is missing some systems from previous titles but over all its really fun

when this was first announced i was doom and gloom all the way up to the release day, i never thought bloober could pull it off after being completely bored by the medium. I WAS WRONG, they hecking did it. The game truly captures the feel of the entire series. Its true enough to feel the same mood but its different enough to not let muscle memory of the original take over. Only true negative is the performance (40 fps dips on a 3090) and 30 fps cutscenes are super jarring coming from game-play at a higher frame rate. that being said this is my GOTY.

a few nitpicks
- why change marias outfit and move her tattoo seemed unnecessary (christina aguilera outfit is iconic)
- i miss the old text descriptions around town no matter how blase they might be
- some important lines in the dialogue are delivered kinda flat ie "I'm not your mary"

this game is fantastic a true hidden gem, unique metroidvania style haunting soundtrack (i woke up with it in my head a few days after playing) compelling story about mother/daughter bond love loss and regret. YOU WILL CRASH THE BIKE A HUNDRED TIMES but thats ok
