I've been part of the Dauntless community since its Closed Beta days, and it pains me to see the current state of the game. The original development cycles showed promise and commitment, but lately, it seems that the developers have lost their way.


From PC to consoles, the game is riddled with performance issues. The once smooth and optimized experience is now plagued with lag, crashes, and frustrating bugs. It’s disheartening to see how the quality control has deteriorated over the years.


As someone who has witnessed the game’s evolution from its inception, it’s clear that the developers are struggling to maintain a stable and enjoyable gameplay experience. What happened to the rigorous testing and attention to detail that we used to see? It feels like a different team entirely is now at the helm.


It’s disheartening to see such a popular anti-cheat system not being supported on these platforms. This oversight not only hampers the gaming experience but also makes it challenging for players who prefer or rely on these systems to enjoy the game fully.


Dauntless has an incredible community, and we deserve better. We deserve a game that runs smoothly and delivers on its promises. It’s time for the developers to step up their game and show the same dedication that was so evident during the early development phases.

Unfinished yank, don`t buy even at sale price

Very realistic simulation, leaks, hull breach and more is realistically simulated. I'm really impressed!

SONY broke the game

Great game with friends in Co-op for some hours. However, there has been no development since Christmas 2019

Game feels lifeless and the culture of releasing unfinished products must come to an end.

I really enjoyed the campaign.

Program crashes on startup

Janky mechanics, nothing new about this type of game within FPS genre. The hype that was generated with the VR Youtubers and the $35,000 competition for the very select few is nothing more than hype. Maps are not good at all - Layouts are messy, there is nothing unique about this game, nothing gives it an identity that this "new revolusionary" game claims it is.

Buy the game if you want another VR game to your shelf of games that is laying around. But that's about it. Been following the development since Alpha and had experience with the game on multiple occations. Looks like they didn't improve from back then.

Great devs that focus on what a social game is supposed to be. Great focus on player security, community modding and listen greatly to what the community wants. Responds amazingly to the unexpected influx of players that is coming from other social games that didn't listen to the community and other social games that wants to kill creativity. ChilloutVR is great!
