A lot of people have already pointed out the many fun aspects of this game.
I suppose I just want to point out (especially as a newcomer to the franchise) that the detail in this game goes above and beyond the call of duty. The playable space you inhabit isn't very large, but it has uranium levels of density.

To a casual player you might scratch the surface of some game-play elements; the real estate business, the cabaret business, the minigames. But if you take the time to look into them, as I have, you will find levels of depth you might not have seen in any other game.

An example of this is if you go into any convenience store, you can examine the magazine racks and view maybe about a dozen scanned in real life Japanese magazines from the era, and an explanation about what that magazine was about. There is no reason to do this, there is no achievement or checklist requirement to do this, it's not even something you might stumble upon in a casual playthrough, but it's there, just to add flavour and world-feel.

And there are tens, maybe even hundreds of examples of this in Yakuza 0. That's why it's worth your time. You should care, because the game cares. And I loved all 200 hours of it.

So yes, if you are on the fence, BUY THIS GAME AND PLAY IT!!!
