Once in a blue moon a video game releases that absolutely hooks me. Sparking Zero is one of them. This game's combat feels so smooth it becomes almost addicting. Reminds me of when I was a kid and kept telling my mom I'll get off in just 1 more game and then play another 10. The multiplayer is genuinely fun, and there is a skill gap between good players and bad ones. As much as the community tries to convince itself that there are "meta" characters that make it unfair, it is not the case. That is simply called skill issue. Combat is semi-complex not button mashing, mastering dodging can be very difficult but rewarding. Lots of different characters to choose from and play that adds to variety. Hoping they just keep on adding them as well as maps without hiding them behind pay walls.

The only flaw I have with this game is the ranked mode. I wish there was more to it, something that really gets the dopamine pumping. As a competitive player, I dont really get that feeling. It's fun when in the middle of the match, however once you win it isnt super "rewarding" to say the least. Needs a bit more reward or incentive for ranked play in order to satisfy competitive players.

Overall, great game. If you are a Dragon Ball fan, there really is no reason not to get it.
