This game truly is astonishing, from graphics, level design to animations all the way to the battle mechanics and the game's lore. You're set in a medieval dark age playing as a young girl known as Amicia, that later on is stranded and told to protect her younger brother at all costs and has to figure out what's happening around her as more stuff gets unearthed the further down she goes. "One answer only brings more questions"
Each level is crafted with high attention to details, scattered easter eggs and more information regarding to the lore, and materials to upgrade both your equipment and armour. Another thing worth mentioning is how most of the necessary materials necessary for "getting your feet wet", playing around while figuring out what best fits you, is found along the way without the need for unnecessary grind like other big titles such as AC Valhalla/Odyssey. Enjoying 100% of the content should be an issue either since what doesn't lay in front of you, most likely is behind you, accessible through a puzzle or a maze of some sorts. Everything you do, regardless of what it is, always feels productive and never fails to excite you with something new along the way.

The game dev team is truly passionate about the game and you'll be able to tell that it's made with love, and with the 2nd title on the way next year, I totally suggest you replay or even give it a try if you haven't already.
The pricetag is somewhat above "averagely priced" big titles on the market, but I also feel certain and proud to say that it far exceeds at everything they do. If you do have any doubts, pick it up on sale just like I did, they put it on sale usually every time there's a big steam sale going.

You most likely wont be replaying this, since it's mostly focused on the story aspect of the game and the excitement setting yourself into Amicias character and her choosing, but you definitely can replay it and appreciate those missed details from last time. It really is like watching Harry Potter for the first time, that feeling is inexplicable and there's no other quite like it. But you also cannot feel it ever again, I had so many times where I wished I could forget about the whole story and be able to rewatch it with a clear mind, it's quite astonishing.

Definitely one of my favourite single player titles of all time, and with the 2nd sequel on the way, you can expect me to back you on that and any future projects a 1000%. "Be sure, to stay in the light."
