Overall a great game assuming that you have the luck to not get an abundance of stutters, and I do mean luck.

I can understand where people are coming from feeling that the story is cliche/unoriginal, but I personally find it intriguing enough to get the hooks in on ya to keep playing. Though I am biased as I'm a sucker for spooky space games, which this title does absolutely well.

In a way, I think the amount of polish is part of the downfall of this game as it feels like I'm walking from one cut scene to the next. Even "small" aspects of the game, such as crawling through vents, using controls panels, etc, feels like their own little cinematic masterpiece. You can tell lots of love and passion went into this game, however, sometimes these animations/moments that take control away from you, the player, can detract more from the overall experience when it happens so often. Mix this in with combat mechanics that can be unintuitive at the worst times(during intense fights etc etc), and perfect at the most mundane times, and you got a detached feeling that pulls you away from the game, scratching your head and looking at your controls thinking "Well what the hell went wrong? I pressed the right keys".

What this game falls short of in gameplay, it makes up for in atmosphere. Go ahead, take a stroll through Black Iron. Pretty f-ing spooky, right? Did you notice the environmental story telling used throughout the world? Some most of it is in your face, but there's lots of little things that foreshadow the events of the game if you pay close enough attention.

A good remake with Triple A/60 Dollar polish, but not Triple A/60 Dollars worth of content.
Overall a fantastic game, but I would recommend buying this title when it's on sale, as I find it to be more worth the money at around 20 to 30 bucks.

A Hat in Time is a game that harkens back to a childhood sense of wonder and magic - I think the last time I've felt this kind of magic in a videogame was in LittleBigPlanet.
I was nervous about buying this game because usually games with a focus on collecting items don't pull me in too much, but I was pleasantly surprised by the simple, yet fun story, the warm and cute atmosphere, the extremely intuitive controls (with an xbox one controller), and adorable art and music design; it's amazing to me how much character this game has.

This is the kind of game I could play all day and lose track of time.

My only gripe is, for my computer at least, the game was automatically set to the highest settings available for the graphics quality, and the menus aren't the best in that area I've found, but that's a small detail ^^

A short but amazing game. Well worth 20 dollars. The methord of storytelling is down right amazing. This game combined with the soundtrack gave me goosebumps. An amazing work of art!

I don't want to waste my time writing a negative review for the DLCs that aren't worth your money, so I'm just gonna state here that the only worthwhile DLC, to me, is Far Harbor. I haven't played Nuka World yet, and I don't think I will for awhile. All the other DLC, in my opinion, should have been free, or included in updates. This pass is not worth $50 bucks.

I have only played this for about 10 minutes, but it is super fun. Building your own island and exploring it is awesome! It is also very relaxing. The soundtarck is a great match for the game. I highly recomend you at least check out this game; it's free to play after all!

A slightly more complicated version of DLC Quest.
