The controls are, by far, the biggest issue with this port. It can feel like pure luck whether directional inputs work correctly or not (in trickly situations where you really need them to!).

I can't recall the number of times I've had to start over due to inadvertently climbing to my death, or being crushed when they completely lock up during certain boss attacks, or directions getting reversed while hanging off blocks because why the hell not.

Feels like part of the challenge is simply getting the character to actually do what you want.

For what it's worth there's definitely worse out there. With a bit of patience and luck, you can learn to play around these issues and it can be a somewhat decent puzzle game.

Beyond the self-mutilation that is grinding out the remaining achievements, I doubt I'll ever be coming back to this nut-vise of a game.

Also, to whomever it was on the dev team that thought it was a good idea having both 'turn/move' and 'grab/let go' crammed into 1 button: ୧༼ಠ益ಠ╭∩╮༽

Think: Spore's space stage dialed to 11, meets Civ V and FTL. Get your Palpatine on and create your very own "GALACTIC! EMPIRE!". Or just chill and sell stuff. Perfect if you're in the mood for a 4X and/or something space-y (that you'll gladly sink a ton of time into). The base game alone is solid, but I highly recommend getting the DLCs for the full experience.
