What's there to love?

+The combat can be either full-auto or you go whack people with your miniature soldiers manually.
+AI will kick your arse if you are playing around, they will attack to expand and they will defend their lands in numbers.
+PUK/enhanced version, you get all the goodies in one go.
+Fancy quests in scenaros for you to play out the history bits.
+Properly translated, decent music, good port (not even one crash/error yet ~Win8.1 for both windowed/full display mode), good prologue for newbie to pick up (there are still plenty more to learn though; e.g. deploying multiple unit, building fortresses, importance of tribes).
+A very useful PDF manual (file name: Nobu14PKManual) that I found to be very useful even after the prologue.

What's there to hate?

-Battles can be a bit lacklustre with limited options of skills/variance (only horses/muskets/spears/bows), compared to RoTK with duels, siege units, traps, etc but this is Nobunaga's Ambition, not RoTK after all.
-Quests can be confusing where you might make a wrong move in hiring some officers/conquer some lands etc that might stop the quests from continuing. E.g. accidentally killing Saito Dosan too early stopped my Nobuhide's scenario quests from appearing anymore lol.
-It drains your time and energy. Seriously it does. I started on a Friday night and ended up still clicking for one more turn on a mind-numbing Saturday 10AM. Continued clicking till my wife came out.
-You will probably create your entire family into the officers creation mode. I have added my niece and sons into the list, and I was even creating my father-in-law as an opposing clan. Decided not to when I saw my wife's face as I asked for his name.

Summary:

I am loving it as a big RoTK/Nobunaga's Ambition/Genghis Khan/Koei strategy fan and I will first-day purchase or pre-order this anytime all over again. For others, you might wanna read up more and check the game play before buying, not everyone can appreciate this beauty :D
