I feel bad that Days Gone was so unfairly maligned back in the day, when this game was announced I feel like everyone was sick of the whole "Zombie Craze" media blitz we were in the tail end of. Because even though at first blush it doesn't really look like much, Days Gone is a great game worthy of a play through. The story is engaging and solid, intrigue is around every corner and kept me hooked. The characterization in this game is great, so many of the characters you meet are endearingly human and the voice work is stellar. Sam Witwer's performance as Deacon was great as well! Absolutely loved his character arc and his interactions with his friend Boozer. The game play was very by the numbers for a third person shooter open world adventure, but I really loved fighting the Freak Hordes. The most exciting and tense parts of this game was finding the location of a horde and figuring out how to take them all out.

The low parts of this game was Forced Stealth sections, some glitches that made the game crash, and the weapon wheel can be a little touchy in tense situations; sometimes I accidentally threw a flash bang when I meant to throw a rock when trying to take out a raider camp with as little ammo as possible.

But all things considered, I really enjoyed my time with this game! Loved every minute of it.

I rate this game This was way better than The Last of Us/10

Turns out they presented the idea of a sequel to Sony and it was denied. :aunope:

Sucks because the post story mission with O'Brian had me interested.

Oh yeah this game ruled, had a lot of fun with it a couple years ago. Really deserves a sequel.
