Decently good game so far. Not sure it's better than Bravely Second.

For people who have played the original: It's a good port/remaster. The backgrounds and music are beautiful and I couldn't find any issues in my ~3 hours of play. You can turn off normal encounters, which I haven't done myself but sounds pretty convenient if you've played through the game a lot and just want to see stuff you've missed.

For people who have not played the original: It's one of my favorite RPGs. It's pretty unique. There isn't really a big overarching story or plot or anything, if that's your thing, just mostly lots of little side stories that you can find and go through, and they're all pretty cute and charming. It's an easy game but there's still plenty of fun to be had in the combat. The atmosphere is surreal and weird.

This is by far the best Dark Souls game.

It rules. Ending made me cry.

Very fun. My only personal complaint is that the characters and basic story are really not to my taste, but that's perfectly fine because the game itself is a blast. It's a shmup with fun powerups and lots of different bosses.

I liked this game enough that I bought it on Switch, beat it four times, then got it on PC yesterday and am playing it again.

I'm not sure how it is for someone who never played the original, but if you're someone that liked the original SFC version of the game, this is a top-tier remake with MINIMAL unnecessary changes other than to accomodate the 3D battle system and a bonus dungeon.
