They finally made a PC version that runs well and has all the PC specific features people want. After buying KT stuff on PC for 10 years I can finally say happily that its worth buying at full price, no asterisk...

*Unless you want the soundtrack with the digital deluxe edition cause thats only playable ingame and isn't outside of it...

3D 2D Waifu turn into 2D 2D Waifu

Really frustrating when you don't have a tile you want to make something aesthetic. Really needs some form of stack manipulation or the ability to hold onto a tile or two to use later. Maybe you get it later (based on the screenshots) but with a 2 hour refund policy on Steam, I dont want to bother playing more to find out. More so since I bought this play while watching videos/listening to music and theres a good chance I'm going to alt-tab to check other things while doing so.

Finally, a worthy competitor to Stardew Valley.

Doesn't seem to touch the more mature elements of writing that Stardew dips into but I've only played 1 ingame week. Gameplay wise its a bit too early for me to make detailed comparisons but they seem to have the basics down. The biggest standout for me is the UI design. Having things like an ingame reference to villager Loves and Likes, map markers for villagers and crop ship rates and growths on seeds is a big quality of life for me. The less time spent alt-tabbing to a Wiki, the better. Having the ability to jump (over small obstacles like the never ending twigs and rocks and fences) is something I've wanted in a farming game for awhile.

An absolute rock solid start. Looking forward to seeing how early access progresses.

Considering Koei's track record with PC ports, this ones actually pretty decent. Its not the prettiest or a system pusher, but it runs well from reports. Somehow does not support ultrawide users in an even more adverse way then we're used too. Not only does it not support it in fullscreen, but it doesnt even let us set the game to full screen with black bars. It has mouse and keyboard support but its still bound weirdly, but at least its there. As far as I can tell content is not cut in anyway other than importing 4-2 stuff but thats due to a legal case with Capcom that Koei lost so thats expected if you've kept up with that.

Would I recommend it? If you're a Samurai Warriors fan on PC, then yeah. This is the series peak, not that 5 is a bad game. I just like everything else here more. For other musou fans or people with some extra spending money, then this is an fine game. For anyone else, wait for a sale, but remember Koei is really weird with what they discount during Steam sales.

The anxiety I get in FF14 but now its mixed with a roguelike bullet hell

Really fun. Balanced busted stuff from first game. If that matters a lot to you, you'll be disappointed. Lacks some Quality of Life from the first game like being able to equip equipment from your storage when changing vocations. Finale falls a bit flat when compared to the first game. NG+ is disappointing. Has the same problem as the first game of not increasing the difficulty to match your end game equipment. Technically there's band-aid fix by not using end game equipment or by downloading a difficulty mod. Mod scene looks to be growing healthily, am looking forward to seeing where it'll be in 3 to 6 months.
