This game perfected the formula of the first game and has incredible replay value. Amazing game all around

Really disappointing. Its pretty obvious how little work went into this, especially for a full price game. All of the VR aspects are very underwhelming and feel like a quickly put together mod. They didnt even try to make the guns work well in VR, the worst implementation I've seen yet.

At its first release, Dayz seemed to have a promising concept. It was one of the first out in the "open world zombie survival" genre. But unfortunately, this game has made next to no progress whatsoever in its multiple year long early access. Its basically the same buggy unplayable mess it was at launch.

Expect to die out of nowhere frequently from bugs such and being pushed off of roofs and lagging out of buildings. The lag or 'vsync' in this game is the worst i have ever experienced. The entire server will freeze and people will be able to go and do whatever they want in the meantime. This ends up with newbies punching out geared players during times where they cant move. The optimization is as atrocious as the UI. With a powerful rig, you'll be lucky to maintain a playable framerate in any of the game's cities.

If you enjoy spending an hour and a half gearing up and finding your friends to spend 5 minutes in combat, this is the game for you. Cities are always a deathwish, but when you are not in them you will go hours at a time without seeing another player just to get killed on sight when you do have an encounter. Not to mention it has one of the crappiest playerbases in any game I have ever played, good luck finding an interaction that lasts longer than 5 seconds before getting shot. Also riddled with hackers on every server you can find. Not only are these hackers annoying, but they also have the ability to teleport and instantly kill everyone on the map, causing you to lose the hour you just spent gearing up. I had a lot of hope for this game at first and saw the potential for a great game, but unfortunately it has turned out to be a cash grab by greedy devs. For now, it is an unplayable, buggy, and boring game stuck in early access limbo, unlikely to gain any interesting content any time soon.

I would not recommend anyone waste their time or hard earned money on this incomplete, discarded game.

There is a lot of good and bad to this game.
Good:
Amazing game with hours and hours of content
Optimization has improved over the years
Game is still getting updates with new mechanics, dinos, maps

Bad:
Do not buy with hope for playing on official servers. Period. Official servers have tribes of people who treat this game like a job and will inevitably wipe you. Unless you want this game to turn into a job, you practically need your own dedicated server to play with friends.
