UPDATE at the end of the event:
-the game is in an ATROCIOUS state
-the UI is the worst I've ever seen in a videogame in 25 years
-performance are completely trash, on the old map I get even less frame than the new one, and 40 (read FORTY) frame less, sometime tanking BELOW 50 frames
-the match making is even worse than before
-ping abuse is even MORE consistent
-no region lock
-almost everything promised IS NOT delivered, I'm not wasting any time writing everything down

tl;dr
this game is in the worst ever from 2018, the only good thing, and for only I mean ONLY, is the new map design


-Servers are trash (constant ping spikes, bugged reconnect, random errors on a daily basis)
-hit reg system is trash (death trade windows are up to almost 1 second)
-The initial gun play is patch after patch destroyed by spam weapons
-the initial sound design which was one of the sailing point is destroyed by nonsense weather conditions with heavy fog, rain and random nonsense sounds so basically often you can't see and hear anything
-No anti camp mechanics, camping is favoured.
-tons of bugs (from hit reg to derendering)
-blatant cheating is around 10% of the player base (mainly esp)
-no serious region lock, so tons of high ping players
-play with randoms is almost impossible (no communication, you are going to be matched against premade)
-oppressive and long events (this ruin even more random teams with players that join with ♥♥♥♥ weapons just to farm quests)
-also with randoms prepare to team up with braindeads running away at the beginning of the fight to avoid death with no punishment
-report system is useless
-a lot of exploits abused by players (derendering, high ping, nonsense skin that merge with walls/bushes/trees)
-bug fixing is incredibly slow
-audio is bugged from time to time (literally the sound goes away, known bug for months now)
-I already wrote that you can't play with randoms because is useless?
-match making is nonsense
-lot of players deranking on purpose to stomp over low mmr lobbies
-game economy is broken, so expect to match against hunters with top tier weapons and traits continuosly
-I'm sure there are many other cons that I'm forgetting

-great maps design
-graphic is point still today

You'll need 2-300 hours to learn the gun play, the movement, the compounds peeking points, the guns and many other things. So you can have maybe some fun at the beginning, only if you have friends or join a discord community to play in premade. I strongly suggest to spend that amount of hours playing something else because the game is gone downhill for two years now, the original game idea is almost not here anymore.
