Been playing ARC Raiders for a bit now, and honestly, it’s a blast if you’re into PvPvE extraction games. It reminds me a lot of Tarkov, just without the soul-crushing punishment every time you die. You still lose all your loot if you go down, so the tension’s real.

The mix of players and AI keeps things unpredictable in the best way. One minute you’re mowing down ARC bots, the next you’re getting jumped by another squad trying to extract the same loot. The gunplay feels good, movement is fast and fluid, and when you finally make it out alive with a full pack, it’s a rush.

That said, it’s not without flaws. ARC bots can feel seriously overpowered at times, especially when you get swarmed and can’t even breathe. It’s also pretty easy to get picked off by other players before you get a chance to fight back, which can be frustrating. The sound design could use work too, footsteps are way too quiet when crouched, so people can sneak up behind you while you’re looting or opening a door without you ever hearing them. Doesn’t matter what terrain you’re on either; it all sounds the same.

Still, even with those issues, the core gameplay loop is tense and rewarding. The one-life system keeps every run meaningful, and the world looks and sounds fantastic. If you like high-stakes extraction shooters but want something a little less punishing than Tarkov, ARC Raiders is absolutely worth checking out.
