This game... I adored RIFT. It was the first MMO I really sank my teeth into. I have at least as many non-Steam hours in RIFT from the independent launcher if not more, but my god. They went from "Free to play with little restrictions here and there," to "OPEN YOUR WALLET AND DUMP IT ON MY TABLE WHILE I ♥♥♥♥ YOUR ASS," in a matter of months.

Every single thing I loved about this game has been killed off or stuffed behind some type of paywall or another. Do yourself a favor and don't bother installing. Because in a year or two, you'll look back, miss what the game was, and then realize you need to spend a ton of money for some trash souls and a portrait frame after you've already sunk a few hundred, (if not more,) dollars into it.
