Combat on a much larger scale than any other First-Person Shooter on the market today, PlanetSide 2 (PS2) takes Battlefield's Conquest gameplay, and expands it tenfold with servers catering for up to 2,000 players across three separate continents (maps, essentially). If large-scale warfare is your thing, and space is a prefered setting, you NEED this game.

While you can lone wolf in PS2, you NEED to be able to communicate to be successful. With many loadouts and configurations available, you need to immediately know your role to be effective. Do you need to hit with brute force in a mech, or spot with a sniper from a distance? If you lone wolf, you won't know your role. Even if you add a friend into the fray, you can be a much more effective trooper for your faction.

While the learning curve is high, the payoff and feeling in succeeding in a scale of 100v100 or so with tanks and APCs will make it all worthwhile. You have nothing to lose with its free-to-play model, and a potential chance to spin epic tales from the battlefield if you pick up PS2.

A Free-To-Play shooter with all the shine and polish of a AAA title, Blacklight: Retribution will have you hooked from the outset with its fast-paced and varied combat across its full rotation of 12 maps (plus one which is gamemode specific)which has a little bit of everything. From the close quarters combat on the map Helodeck, to having intense sniper showdowns on SeaPort.

It can also cater to the mad scientist and stat fanatic with its own weapon customisation system where you can build something you can truly call yours. Apart from the obvious camoflague, you can change everything, from the muzzle to the stock and magazine types with different ammunition. There are also weapon tags which not only look swell, but add small buffs to either your character or your weapon.

Winner of KBMOD.com's game of the hear, Blacklight: Retribution's action is constant, and has the potential to have the same life of AAA staples like Call of Duty 4.

Now get out there, agent, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!
