Very meticulously crafted, if a bit paint-by-numbers? The vibes and sound engineering and environment design are honestly the best I've ever seen, but the resolution plays out exactly how you expect by the 2/3 mark, and some of the horror mechanics feel bolted in for the sake of having a horror game.

Highly worth playing, but it feels like it fell short of reaching for the stars.

This is a wonderfully wholesome, cute, and fun little game. It's full of kindness and whimsy, and it just feels good to wrap yourself in the world.

Think Satisfactory meets Stardew Valley meets pure cozy.

This is a very fun well-crafted and lovingly-designed (see: my play hours) game with a very nauseating salad dressing

Cute, tons of cats, allusions to anthro deer, and a pretty good solution to the Yahtzee "♥♥♥♥-up Cascade" problem that plagues the stealth immersive sim genre.

Loved this game!

Fun goofy platforming. Maybe *too* goofy, but that's in the eye of the beholder. I enjoy the sincerity of its goofiness.

Different in a few key mechanical ways from the first one, and I don't know if all the changes are for the better, but I appreciate them trying new things within the vibe of the original!

I don't think I can recommend this currently.

It's sort of pretty I guess, but the overall feeling is "What if Oblivion ran really badly even on decent hardware and was exactly as buggy and janky as before".

The quality-of-life improvements are genuinely nice, but not $49.99 nice.

Pretty paint-by-numbers, but it's cute and has enough nice little details to make it worth playing! Feels well above-average for hero shooters overall.

Outrageously cute lil puzzler! Nice puzzle variety so far.

Defender's Quest 2 is a fun new story with the same energy and vibe of the original. There's no huge surprises in the story, nor big revelations: do you enjoy meeting weirdo characters and figuring out their strengths and weaknesses over a couple hours? Then this is honestly a great experience.

Does it feel quite as special as the original? Maybe not, but that can't possibly be the standard! You'll have a good time, I promise.

I don't think any game has ever brought me such cozy cheerful joy as this one
