Yooka-Laylee tries to be charming collectathon but fails in a lot of ways.
Overall design is not inspiring. NPCs are some wierd animals or living things/plants and they sound annoying asf.
Everything looks out of place, a mish mash of characters and different themes.
Gameplay is tedious, level design is counterintuitive, sometimes it's hard to find where you need to go, even the main hub feels too complicated to traverse. Difficulty spikes are insane. Some challenges are stupid weak and some suddenly require decent skills.
Game has some good moments but overall it is mediocre and tasteless jank. I can get why people were so рissed with the pricetag.
