If you played any shooter after 2010 and you didnt play Halo series before, then you probably wanna skip buying it.

I bought this game to find out why're Halo series so great. Since i am a fan of shooter genre, i wanted to give it a try.
What i got is boring gameplay, another Starship Troopers story plot (2000s were full of these game plots), similar {yet beatiful) locations and way too few enemies.
For 2000s on consoles this game might be awesome, but it didnt age so well with current shooter releases.

Port is awesome, i also loved the music, so I bet all nostalgic oldschoolers will love this pack. And i think the price for this gamepack is worth it.
But either case, i wouldn't recommend it due to games being out-of-date.

This si neutral review, but since this game have a lot of positive ratings, i decided to vote for negative score.

First of all, the story is so awful it seems like it was created in one night. Plot holes are all over the places, unexplainable behaviour and appearances out of air, meaningless twists, killing characters left and right just for the sake of it. Side quests are a bit better if you don't count that most of them are lazily copypasted from BL2. There are some good side quests but i can count them on my fingers out of 80.

Second of all, a lot of similar poop jokes. If jokes are not about poop, they are either extremely gallow for no reason or dumb enough to make you facepalm. Quoting Hammerlock from BL3 "I feel like my brain cells commiting suicide one by one every time i hear them talking"

Third of all, characters. Devs put a lot of characters with good backstories from old games and have no clue what to do to them. All characters either don't change at all throughout the story, or for worse become completely idiotic. Maybe Rhys, Ellie and Moxxy are the only ones, who are done better than others.
Also do not expect any big backstory revealing except for Tannis being Siren and even that is done poorly because IT MAKES NO EFFING SENSE NEITHER FOR BL3 NOR FOR THE PAST GAMES!

Forth of all, bugs. I thought a game after 1,5 years would get rid from most bugs.
Just for comparison, Doom Eternal was released a year ago and it had bugs with combat mechanics and falling through maps, but in current state small bugs are only noticable in highest difficulty (like chainsaw targetting which might not be always a case of bug)
But borderlands still didnt fix subtitles bug, still didnt fix cars getting stuck, didnt fix inventory bug, didnt fix teleporting to vehicle and didnt fix dialogues from side quests and main story mixing between each other like hell (BL2 fixed it by completely stopping side quest dialogue). But hey, how about you pay for Season Pass 2 with 20% of positive reviews?

Well...at least there are good sides:
+New skills are great. Seriously, the main reason i play this game is because of them.
+Coop mechanics are finally balanced the way ithey are suppossed to be, no more snapping out loot that you wanted to pick.
+Gameplay is epic as hell (even if i dislike it for being way too easy),
+Awesome Weapons and Movement mechanics. To be honest, those mechanics are old as first Crysis, but this is the only case in BL3 where it's still good no matter the age.
+Design of maps, even so i hated there are too few of differences, most maps look gorgeous!
If only main story praised main heroes more than side quests...

So, in conclusion, game is not that bad, but it is still dissapointing how much potential wasted. You will surely enjoy it for the first time except for the main story, but do not expect yourself to replay it a lot like BL2, only if you will go for coop.

Suggesting that devs started to make DLC worse and worse, it's your bet of what to expect from this game series in the future.

EDIT Finished story, lemme add something more
- CooP matchmaking is broken. No server browser, and matchmaking only throws you to players who have same character playing. Battleborn had same issues. 7000 players active, wouldnt say it's low, it's more probably that matchmaking is overcomplicated in searching. Adding server user browser would fix this problem.
- Guardian Takedown is near impossible to play solo due to time limited tasks, which are oriented to have 3 people at least.
+ Maliwan Takedown is awesome! This should be the real final area because it represents BL2 final levels a lot!
+ Endgame side quests are written a lot better.

Due to crappy matchmaking, i lost all interest in playing this game, i don't want to play even unfinished DLC.
So, choose it for yourself if you wanna buy it, I highly suggest to either play this game with your friends or find them in steam discussions.
Or just play BL2.

This DLC is like Dark Souls.
You complain about it a lot, but you enjoy it a lot.

Main game complaints: "It's too hard"
DLC1 complaints: "It's way too hard"
DLC2 complaints: "It's too easy"

The game tries really hard to look like metroidvania and it's actually good at it in first two hours but it misses signficant part.
The gameplay and the progression.

You get upgrades and new mechanics, but these upgrades dont make you powerful or give signficant abilities, you basically gain keys to other paths of big map.
Battles are boring as hell - it's hit-dodge-hit-block-hit repeat. Abilities you gain are either useless or uncomfortable to use in battle.
And there are way too few types of enemies, you can count them on your fingers.

But okay, screw combat system, what about platforming?
Well, its not that much better. it's not bad, it's just boring. Imagine that most of the times you go push that button so you could push other button, then go to ladder... and jump a lot on stairs....
Forget about abilities, they let you push things back and forth, but that's it. You just push things.

All of the above would be okay for first hours of gameplay, but not the whole game. Game devs put so much effort into art design and speechless story and opening mechanics, so game became monotonous.

The only thing i really like is art design of this game, characters look cute and most places are great for screenshots and wallpapers.


In conclusion, If you did not play a lot of games in the past and this is one of your first games ever, you may take a shot, otherwise you will be bored mid game.

Played this game for 2 hours.
Switched to Amnesia to calm myself down.

If you think DOOM Eternal is too hard, good luck with this game.
Playing first level on Nightmare is Normal difficulty for this game.

Umineko is when demons and sadistic witch that kill your family are far more better and gentle than most people especially kids
