I'm having a difficult time finding any amount of reason to quit this game. The graphics, sound design, and gameplay are all phenomenal. The progression is well-paced, beyond the first couple hours where you don't have a very firm sense of direction. However, during those first hours, I was curious about the mechanics and the game itself--interactions with AI enemies and other players, locations to explore, and what loot there was to gather. 15 hours in, I continue to discover new things and find the next upgrade to shoot for.

The only complaint I have is the lack of character customization, and I don't mean skins. It feels strange for there to be a plethora of outfits but only a handful of hairstyles and faces to choose from. Hoping this is changed soon, because it's really the only thing lacking for me.

This is a really fun and immersive game. Highly recommend to anyone wondering what to play next!

A lot different than the first game in good and not so good ways. The visuals and music got noticeably better, as well as the optimization. Some of the combat decisions felt strange and I'm not sure I agree with them, as they make the game SIGNIFICANTLY more difficult than the first. On the plus, the movement is super fast and feels amazing. I recommend Silksong, though, as Team Cherry are fantastic developers and have created a game with soul. Love it!

I understand people not wanting to play the game because of the developer doing MAGA ♥♥♥♥. However, I will happily play a free game that is fun. I won't put a dime into it but I'll enjoy the queue while it lasts. I recommend you do the same, because the arena queue is super fun

Kinda unbelievable how many negative reviews I've seen from people who dropped 90 mins in the game and refunded it. I saw someone who left a negative review (and refunded the game) say "the first boss is genuinely too hard" and I laughed, because I figured it was a skill issue.

I was right.

Play this game! Ignore the dip in positive reviews. People are TOO picky. I love the art, the vibes, the combat, and the pace. Everything feels good so far.

I played 10 hours in my first session and I have a senior recital in 2 days to prepare for. Take that as you will (I'm pretty damn ready for it, but still)

Super impressed from the short time I've spent in the game so far. What a wonderful detox from the slop that 99% of AAA developers have been slapping together. A lot of tools work together intuitively to create things like doors, lilypads, shutter windows, etc. without having a dedicated tool for each item, which makes the idea of building something intricate seem much less daunting. This kind of gameplay also inspired me to want to try combinations of different tools and see what they would create.

Shoutout to Pounce Light for an awesome experience that will definitely get many more hours out of me.

(No spoilers) I'm honestly really sad to say that I couldn't finish this game. I remember playing through the beginning and thinking I understood why it was so beloved. The card-game mechanics, the soundtrack, the graphics, the 4th-wall breaks, I mean everything in the beginning was near-perfect, which is why I thought this gameplay would carry forward.

Only to realize that once I got to "the end", that I had only just started, and the game changes entirely. Again, I don't want to spoil anything and it may be for you. But I am extremely disappointed in how the game actually ended up being.

If you like sudden changes of pace and fundamental changes to gameplay that are near-jarring, by all means, buy the game and check it out. The devs seem to have put in a lot of effort, and clearly, I'm in the minority. Otherwise, I would steer clear of this if you have a certain impression and plan to purchase based on that. If that makes sense.

Makes me so sad to see the amount of negative reviews solely due to performance issues. I'm here to say that, for me, they are not game-breaking and the game is perfectly playable--and that's coming from someone with a quite dated PC build. Even at low graphics the visuals are stunning, and the devs clearly put a ton of work into this game in pretty much every way that matters. I'm sure performance is near the top of their list of things to work on, but currently, very impressed with this FREE GAME, and I'm looking forward to plugging more hours in.
