Early Access Review
Beautiful landscape, smoothed mouse, decent audio.

That's about it. Everything else about this game feels clunky.

Don't give me the "this is just an alpha game" nonsense, this clunkiness is part of the core engine. It'll be just as clunky on release.

The loot system is really lacking. You can't search any cupboards or lockers or fridges. Everything is laying on the ground equally spaced out. 99% of the time, entire towns will be empty. Not one single thing.

Aside from that, the real problem is: zombies. It's not that they're tired and old and overdone, it's that they're just done wrong. They run at you, clip through walls, have horrible animations, and spawn right behind you sometimes. They kind of ruined the game for me.

It was actually more fun to run into (and from) other players. I swear these kinds of games would be better if they just took out the monsters and made it a survival game... anyway... I digress.

The whole world seems empty. The interface is so...so....so...soo painful. You cant drop things on the ground if a container is open, you cant even read what items are if your inventory is full, you cant swap out items unless you drop them first, items equipped in your hands feel slow and cumbersome. Melee weapons are pretty much useless; it feels like you're trying to swing your arms through a pile of sand.

I don't even care that the first 5 items I found were different types of caps, I just want a usable interface, improved looting system, and better combat mechanics. They got the map and graphics right, but there's nothing else good about it.
