Reject modernity, return to monke!

20 hours in the DLC and I am in love with it (I'd say I'm 3/4 done). The level design is absolutely fantastic. The soundtrack is amazing, the lore implications of some of the stuff I've seen so far... of course it leaves us with more questions than answers.

The difficulty curve takes a bit getting used to at the start, but you do get the same feel of what areas to tackle and which are "for later". And of course the items that help you boost dmg/def play an important role.

Easy 10,

The atmosphere, the music, the overall feel and aesthetic, I love it so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edit and spoiler - the late part of the game with the swimming is the most tedious and annoying part in any game I've ever played, I got lost way too much, a more powerful flashlight or some better orientation besides that lame red rope would have saved it... I heavily enjoyed it up to this point and now I will take a day long break before I touch it again, not even sure how much more I have to go after opening a bookshelf but after I saw that is still makes me go dive again, I saved and noped out.

Edit 2 - after finishing it, I really want a mixed review setting. I like the game, but at one specific part it almost ruined it for me. Overall I do recommend for the vibe, feeling and soundtrack, I wish it focused more on exploring the world that is so masterfully crafted, but I'll give it a pass since it was made by one man. I hope he continues to make such cool games and apply all the feedback in these reviews.

Game has the potential to be VERY fun, the world is beautifully crafted and the quests are nice. However, getting killed every 10 minutes by high/heavy geared players ruins the whole atmosphere. I wish there was a PvE only mode where you can avoid the tryhards and just enjoy the setting and the story it's trying to craft. Unfortunately cannot recommend it as it is right now.

Short and sweet! Would love to see a longer game but I feel that an episodic format would also be catchy. Great job! Fun as the whole series <3
