if ever on sale, YES.
i am one of the kickstarter backers and while i do not regret this, i am a little shocked (and disappointed) at how things have been handled.
it is absolutely wild to me that they are charging 40 USD for the current state of the game. there is a lot to do, a lot to collect... if you have the ability to purchase and enjoy a little life sim, farming, with a bit of combat, then by all means- go for it.

really fun game, unfortunately i cannot play it for very long because there's only kb+m controls. :( would love controller options someday!

do yourself a favor. skip this one, play rune factory 4, or even guardians of azuma. but 5? i have no idea what Marvelous was thinking. ive been trying to get into this story and game since release on switch (its awful on switch btw). the design and UI is just awful. its very much a weird awkward teenager stage between games. the characters i do like are not marriage candidates and the one i really like doesn't show up until end of game. overall, i really cannot suggest anyone play this unless its on a 99% off sale.

i finally get why everyone loves this game.

I have not finished the campaign yet, but so far this has been a much more enjoyable experience than Borderlands 3. The writing is leagues better and much more tolerable. I found myself even enjoying some of Claptrap's side quests, which historically tend to be annoying and you just want Claptrap to shut up.
The quirky humor of the Borderlands series still comes through in a more tolerable way, though like any instance in which a game uses period references in pop culture, it may not necessarily age well (looking at you, BL2)

The Vault Hunters thus far have also been fun to play. I swap back between Vex and Harlowe. As much as I cannot stand a certain Gearbox employee, BL4 is good and I do recommend it if you have the money to spare. If not, certainly wait for a sale.

game so good i bought it 3 times. :)

spent 30min customizing my character and hit the "share" button. i was looking for a way to save the character i made as i noticed an "import" feature. waited about 5 min but the screen stayed black and i had to alt+F4. DO NOT HIT SHARE BUTTON WHEN MAKING YOUR CHARACTER. :)
