The absolute ambition on display from CDPR's second game, in what might possibly be the most difficult universe to create a believable action based branching story, is history foreshadowing the ungodly success this studio would go on to amass. The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings may have an overall rushed and burnt feeling, but still boast some of the best writing, atmosphere, lore, and surprisingly graphics that rivals most of this generation today. The multiple branches of story leads to insane levels of re-playability, and levels of consequences set up for the award winning Witcher 3.
It may not be a must play, but after playing it is a must study.
