An incredible turn around from a meh-ish launch to the outstanding MMO it is today. A mountain of content that it truely can be confusing where to go and when, but then you realize you can go do whatever you want when ever you want to and the game will scale to your level so you will ALWAYS be able to play with friends.

Great game! Triple A but free. Basicaly what Destiny tried to be.

So far I've only got a few hours into it but it's been fun. A bit of an uphill battle figuring out the game since I'm playing in survival mode but I like the challenge.

Has exploration on the ground.
Has exploration in space.
Has combat on the ground.
Has combat in space.
Terraforming, base building, resource gathering. I think it even has a taming system as I'm able to feed wildlife. I can already see myself spending many more hours playing.

Great map, large, has well spread out resources. Metal is a bit tough to get at in some places but otherwise it's good.

In order to do everything in this game you must be part of one of the zerg guilds, pay to win, and play full time. A lot of promise ruined with a pay to win model that rewards zerg guilds that hit cap as quickly as possible.

"Early access" for almost 6 years. That pretty much means that by the time this product is finished it'll be outdated. The concept for this game was wonderful but development took too long and implementation of it's features plus gameplay flow prevented this game from ever really getting off the ground.

Now, 6 years later, someone else has picked up a dead project and is trying to do some major CPR and breath life back into this game.

Best sandbox game I have played. You can even shape the world! Deep crafting system rewarding hard work and dedication over RNG. (There is still some RNG). Building capped on your skill level so a fresh player can't create massive structures and leave. Capture/tame animals and use as mounts or working animals.

6 years since the above review, still one of my favourite games that I keep returning to.

Mods can add even more crafting options to the game. Modded servers remove a couple of the more frustrating parts of the vanilla game. Even the lack of a third person mode has been fixed with client side mods.

Only have a few hours into it so far, but the early stages of the game are fun. Mini-game style pet taming system. Seems like you can tame almost anything to be used as a mount and with an item later it can be turned into a combat pet.

Outstanding zombie survival game. Base building, crafting, farming, multiplayer and random worlds.

Post apocalyptic MMO. Great concept. Could use more work but the price is right. Crafting, lots to explore, lots of character progression options.
