Terraria was the game I joined Steam for back in 2013. Over the years I've seen it grow from 1.2 to 1.4.4. I'm not one of its oldest players, but it's been nearly ten years of Terraria for me at this point, so I'm happy to review it for the third and hopefully final time.

Sure, I don't care for the game's Reddit-tier humor. And we never did get a way to quickly clear out those jungle bushes. But you'd have a hard time finding anything objectively wrong with Terraria at all, thanks to Re-Logic's intimate relationship with its community. Every update comes with a small army of tweaks, reworks and balance changes, and years and years of these little changes add up to make an unbelievably polished game for how many different ways there are to play it.

One of the biggest surprises to me as of late? Terraria is a great couples game! Working together to tackle the world's challenges is a great bonding activity, and there are so many funny little interactions you can make, from heart emotes and sitting together in bed to teleporting across the map to offer a gift. Play it with your special one, you will not regret it.
