Guacamelee! STCE 100%

Single Playthrough: maybe 10 hours
Time to 100%: roughly 15 – 20 hours
-I’d recommend searching the steam guides for the code to skip straight to hard mode without having to playthrough it once. Saves a lot of time and energy

Difficulty: Difficult at times
-You can make the playthrough itself fairly simple by getting all the health, stamina, and special upgrades to make bosses and challenge arenas simpler.
-There are challenge rooms that require you to test gold in all aspects of the game, but you can hold them off until the end once you’ve grasped the games mechanics

Overall: Worth getting 100%
- The game is a mixture of tight combat, traditional metroidvania discovery, great art style, and references to other games / media that just add to the humor of the experience. Really solid experience, definitely worth your time!
... Not to mention there’s 4 player co-op for additional replay value and good times!

I sunk 13 hours into the trial before purchasing and I definitely can’t recommend the game enough. The gameplay is fast-paced, addicting, and really easy to pick up but hard to master. Think Rocket League style gameplay loop, Fortnite character models, all covered in goofy cosmetics that make you look like a neon Rockabilly. The game is incredibly fun and only made better with friends. Honestly, one good solo can carry but the teamwork often wins the match.

I am excited to get more hours under my belt for the upcoming season. However, I fear with the games already small player base, that it’s just going to be made smaller with the trial ending. Hopefully the game can go f2p to maintain the players it has so far, but this is EA we are talking about so I have my doubts...

A few dollars is a small price to pay to figure out which one of your friends is a lying, manipulative traitor who you thought you could trust because they gave you berries that one time but it turns out they were poisoned and I didn't bring a sickle because I needed space for my shovel and the digging mini-game is the worst and all I was trying to do was complete my bonus objective of not using medicine but I'm forced too because you lied to me Katie you filthy back-stabber.

Good Game

CUPHEAD:

+Beautiful Visuals
+Tight Controls (After remapping)
+Jazzy Soundtrack
+Challenging Bosses
-Short Length (around 6 - 8 hours first run)
-Repetitive (If you choose to perfect each stage)

Overall
Recommended for those who crave a challenge and gain satisfaction of perfecting said challenges.
Not recommended for those purely enticed by visuals and easily frustrated.

Mass Effect: 10 Years Late

Pros:
+Strong Story with an array of well written characters and dialogue
+Plethora of side assignments for hours of content and replayablity
+Impactful decisions that carry across multiple iterations

Neutral:
>Obvious dialogue wheel decisions depending on what karmic route you choose
>Combat system is a bit rigid with bullet sponge enemies and some cheap deaths
>MAKO

Cons:
-UI is clunky and hard to navigate in regards to inventory and quests
-Many reused textures and terrains that make some side missions feel like chores
-EA's chokehold on the franchise

Tips for New Players:
  • Track your completed planets on the star map. The game won't mark it for you
  • There is no postgame after the ending so complete everything you want to prior
  • Take advantage of EA's screw ups and Download the FREE DLC
