I 100%'d this game on the PS5 at release. I haven't yet played much on steam other than to check out how NTWEWY plays on Steam Deck; I'm planning to re-100% it over the holidays.

Overall the game is a pretty fantastic sequel to TWEWY. It's got a banging soundtrack and visuals yet again. The story is reasonably good (with a different message & focus than the original - so yes, the story has a different vibe to it, since we have a different main character!) and all the characters are generally wonderful.

The game plays pretty great on steam deck (albeit with some questionable default input binds, e.g. A being cancel and B being confirm, due to it mapping to Switch/PS5 button locations) as you'd expect, given that it launched on Switch and PS4/5.

The main issue with the game stems from how SQEX did not market this game at all. This is a sequel to a 14 (now 15) year old game and the initial launch was given 0 coverage by SQEX due to them going hard on Marvel content at E3, the initial Epic release had 0 lead-up or fanfare, and then the steam release was also just stealth dropped a day before the Persona 5 Royal release, with 0 prior announcement or anything. If you're wondering why you haven't heard ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about this game, it's because Square Enix *wants* TWEWY to die, apparently.
