The Ratchet & Clank series is a classic Playstation platform shooter that was finally brought to PC, and I had an incredibly fun time playing R&C: Rift Apart on the Steam Deck. It basically ran perfectly, with the exception of a few small hitches during super action-packed scenes. Despite this game being the 12th entry in the series by Insomniac Games, I would still recommend this game to newcomers because of the enjoyable gun gameplay loop; and the fact that this is a story about being in an alternate dimension means it's almost a soft retelling of our protagonists' history.

Here's are the important graphics settings I chose for optimal Steam Deck performance as well:

Display Mode
Display Resolution: 1280 x 800
Refresh Rate: 60 Hz
Vsync: Half Refresh Rate
*Half refresh rate sets the actual fps to 30, and I also disabled the Steam Deck's built in frame limiter

Upscaling
Upscale Method: IGTI (Insomniac Games' Temporal Injection)
Upscale Quality: Ultra Quality
Dynamic Resolution Scaling: Off

Texture
Texture Quality: Medium
Texture Filtering: 2x Anisotropic

Light & Shadow
Shadow Quality: Low
Ambient Occlusion: SSAO
Screen Space Reflections: Off

Ray Tracing
ALL OFF - This eats your performance

Geometry
Level of Detail: Medium
Traffic Density: Low (Medium should also be fine)
Hair Quality: Very Low (Hard to notice higher quality difference with smaller screen & upscaling)
Weather Particle Quality: Medium
